SEMINAR ON KASHMIRI DRAMA COMMENCES

Srinagar, Nov 8: A 2-day seminar on “Kashmiri Drama” organized by Sahitiya Academy New Delhi in collaboration with Kashmir Theatre Federation started at Sri Pratap College Thursday.
Prominent theatre, radio and television artists of the state attended the seminar and deliberated upon the “revival and reformation of the theatre and Kashmiri Drama in state”.
“Speakers stressed for restoration of past glory and fame of Kashmiri drama which used to highlight the basic issues of the common people of the valley,” an official handout said.
On the inaugural day, eminent artist MK Raina was the chief guest while as Makhan Lal Saraf, M L Kamu, Rukhsana Jabeen and Dr Aziz Hajini attended the function as guests of honour.
On the occasion, speakers deliberated upon the golden era of Kashmiri Theatre.
