DGP inaugurates Police-Public Mela

Srinagar, Sep 30: Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad Sunday inaugurated 21st Police Public Mela at Bakshi Stadium while hundreds of people thronged the venue during the daylong event.
After lighting a traditional lamp, the Chief Guest described the event as a “bridge between police and public.”
He appreciated the efforts of Jammu and Kashmir Police Wives Welfare Association (JKPWWA) for organizing such Melas for years thereby “strengthening the police-public relations at grassroot level.”
The results of raffle draw for prizes of Mela were announced in presence of people and officials.
Small children drawn from the gathering picked the lucky numbers for prizes of different categories in presence of Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Prasad and other senior officials. The results, as per the official handout are:
The first prize four Figo Cars were won by raffle draw ticket numbers A-20657, B-74609, C-14030 and D-11443 . 2nd prize four Spark Cars were bagged by ticket numbers A-36503, B-77634, C-69831 and D-47851. The 3rd prize four Alto Cars were won by ticket numbers A-95464, B-00406, C-05020 and D-23034.
Similarly the 4th prize four Motor Cycles went to raffle draw ticket numbers A-51419, B-13212, C-97680 and D-11854. The 5th prize four Scooties Activa goes to ticket numbers A-37146, B-52908, C-74760 and D-17676. The 6th prize four Lap Tops goes to ticket numbers A-73398, B-66293, C-86407and D-20879. The 7th prize four LCD TVs were won by ticket numbers A-44536, B-71480, C-83657and D-32798. The 8th prize four Handicam were bagged by ticket numbers A-77891, B-10814, C-27449 and D-71464. The 9th prize four AC. 75 goes to ticket numbers A-68683, B-61662, C-68902 and D-23537. 10th Prize four Washing Machines were bagged by ticket numbers A-33647, B-69081, C-81218 and D-06911 The 11th Prize, four Microwave Ovens goes to ticket numbers A-03486, B-24842, C-48954 and D-56036.
Accordingly 40 Cash prizes of Rs 1,000 each goes to tickets with last four digits 1415. Likewise 400 cash prizes of Rs. 500 goes to tickets having last three digits 598 and the 4000 cash prizes of Rs. 200 goes to tickets having last two digits 14.
Bumper prize consisting of one Car TATA Nano with Laptop, AC.75, Washing Machine, Sony Handicam, Mobile Phone, Microwave Oven and Dinner Set won by ticket No: B-95560.
The DGP thanked people for their massive participation in the daylong Mela. Several prize winners, who were present on the occasion hailed the transparency of the raffle draw. The other prize winners have been advised to approach the AIG (Welfare) PHQ on Mobile No: 9419156965 and PHQ office No: 0194-2443033 along with original tickets to receive the prizes during the office hours.
