500 Kissan Credit Cards Distributed

Shopian, Oct 11: J&K Bank today distributed 500 Kissan Credit Cards among the farmers at a “Mass Awareness Camp” held at far-flung village D.K. Pora Shopian.
On this occasion DDC Shopian Muhammad Javid Khan said the camp shall provide the farmers an opportunity to interact with agriculture experts.
He advised farmers to coordinate with experts of Agriculture & allied departments, so that dream of agriculture revolution could be translated into reality.
Director, Agriculture, Kashmir, Dr. Farooq A. Lone said the Department is organizing awareness camps throughout valley with the aim to ensure the latest research and technology in Agriculture & Allied sectors reaches the doorsteps of the farmers.
He advised farmers to take benefits of various schemes launched by the department & coordinate with Agriculture Department in implementing all programmes.
He said that out of 29000 farm families 22000 Kissan Credit Cards have been distributed in District Shopian.
He appreciated the efforts of District Lead Bank Manager & Branch Manager J&K Bank Harman, for speedy issuance of Kissan Credit Cards.
