CM Seeks Additional Subsidized LPG Cylinders
Srinagar, Oct 13: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde Saturday evening had one to one meeting here in which various issues relating to law and order and prevailing security situation were discussed, an official spokesman said.
He said they also discussed matters relating to the developmental schemes under implementation in the state under PMRP and other programmes.
Chief Minister, the spokesman said, apprised the Union Home Minister of the “path breaking initiatives” taken by the state government for empowerment of the people, bringing transparency in the functioning of administration, time bound public service delivery and good governance.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for special Central assistance to the State Government for providing subsidized additional LPG cylinders to the consumers in the state. He also discussed issues relating to funding of Baghlihar phase II and transmission and distribution projects under PMRP.
The Chief Minister also raised the issue of enhancement of financial assistance of Kashmiri Migrants and stressed on approval by the Central Government to the proposal of State Government submitted to the Centre in this regard.
The Union Minister assured all support from the Union Government to Government of Jammu and Kashmir in its efforts to restore permanent peace and march ahead on road to progress and prosperity.
