Governor, CM greet people on Mahanavami, Dussehra
Srinagar: Governor NN Vohra has felicitated people on festivals of Mahanavami and Dussehra and prayed for communal harmony, brotherhood, peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his greeting message, the Governor said that these festivals symbolize the triumph of virtue and righteousness over evil and darkness. “These festivals are a glorious heritage of our pluralistic traditions, which further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood and amity,” the Governor said.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah have also felicitated people on Mahanavmi wishing them happiness and well being.
They prayed for peace, prosperity and progress in the State and the country.
