JKLF acts tough against former chairman, others for ‘violating discipline’

NISAR AHMED THOKAR

Rawalpindi, Oct 22: The zonal central committee of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front which met here under the chairmanship of Ammanullah Khan has initiated disciplinary action against the former chairman Advocate Sardar Sageer Khan and other front leaders for “violating party discipline.”
Talking to Greater Kashmir, a JKLF spokesman said members of the Zonal Committee had a detailed discussion on party affairs as well as the changing political situation in the region.
He said some important decisions were taken on the occasion while replies to show-cause notices by the former JKLF chairman and others were also discussed threadbare.
Advocate Sardar Sagher Khan and three other Front leaders were formally severed show-cause notice by the JKLF supreme head Amannulah Khan 25 days back, asking them why they violated the party discipline.
He said the members unanimously agreed to take disciplinary action against those who have violated the party discipline.
Asked about the action taken, the JKLF spokesman said it would be premature to comment on the ‘sensitive issue’.
Without citing names, he said those who have gone against the party discipline would be duly informed about the action against them.
According to reliable sources, advocate Sardar Sagheer Khan and his accomplices have been shunted out of the party and their basic membership has been suspended for indefinite period.
