Seeks speedy completion of Rawathpora drain

Srinagar, Oct 23: MOS Home, Tourism and Revenue, Nasir Aslam Wani Tuesday toured Srinagar to take on–the-spot assessment of developmental works even as he sought speedy restart of left over works.
 An official handout said he directed the “UEED authorities to connect the Mandir Bagh drain with the main drain of ERA and start the work at an earliest”.
 The Minister directed the SMC to construct a drain at Rawathpora and said that he would release Rs 6 lakh out of his Constituency Development Fund for the purpose.
 The Minster directed the PDD authorities to take up the repair works of streetlights of his constituency and the amount of Rs 8.50 lakh on this account would also be released soon. He was assured that the repair works would be started soon, the official handout said.’’
