MIRWAIZ EXTENDS EID GREETINGS TO PEOPLE

Srinagar: The chairman of Hurriyat Conference (M) Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has congratulated the whole Umah in general and the Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir in particular on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha.
 Mirwaiz, who has been placed under house arrest, appealed to the people to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Eid with simplicity and not to forget the families whose dear ones have either been martyred or lodged in jails.
 “People at local levels should visit the families whose dear ones have been martyred and also those whose dear ones are serving detention in different jails to express solidarity with them,” said Mirwaiz in a statement today, urging the Muslims to learn lessons from sacrifices offered by Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS) and get united in the fight against the forces of tyranny and falsehood.
