Army officer found dead

Jammu, Oct 26: An Army officer was found dead in his official residence at Nagrota-based 16 Corps headquarters on the outskirts of the city.
The 42-year-old officer, Lt Col Madukar Singh Choudhan, was found lying unconscious in his room last evening and was shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
His body had been taken to GMC hospital for the post-mortem to ascertain the exact cause of the death, they said.
PRO Defence, Col R P Palta said that the officer died of some illness.
The officer hailed from Uttar Pradesh and his wife and two children are settled in Delhi.
The Commander of 16 Corps, Lt Gen D H Hooda expressed sorrow over the demise of the officer.
