Government revokes order
Srinagar: Government on Friday revoked the order by which a former Medical Superintendent of the GB Pant Hospital, Dr Javiad Chowdhary was directed to serve as a professor in the College.
Sources told Greater Kashmir that the order was revoked following the resentment by the Medical Faculty Association (MFA). “He will remain attached to the winter secretariat till the enquiry against him will be completed,” they said.
Soon after the earlier order of his attachment with the GMC principal was issued, the MFA had registered a protest. The Faculty from the Department of Pediatrics also had also decided to go on “protest leave” in case the order is not revoked.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Secretary Health and Medical Education, MK Dwivedi could not be contacted for the confirmation.
