KU to host Inter-University Women’s Cricket Tourney
Srinagar, Oct 29: The Kashmir University is going to host All India Inter-University Women’s Cricket Tourney at Kashmir University ground from Tuesday.
The event, organised by Directorate of Physical Education and Sports department Kashmir University under the aegis of All India University Sports Board, would be inaugurated by Kashmir University Vice-Chancellor, Prof Talat.
In the event only top eight University teams of the country who were winner and runner-up in their respective zonal events would be participating.
The teams are, Mumbai, Kolkatta, Rohtak, Faizabad, Calicut, Pondicherry, Puriwanchal and Gwalior.
“All the arrangements have been made and teams have already arrived here. It is going to be a grand event andthe visiting teams will enjoy here,” Director Physical Education and Sports department, Dr Bashir Ahmad, said.
