Grass Root Football Festival begins
Srinagar, Oct 30: The Soccer Kids in collaboration with Jammu & Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) kick started the Grass Root Football Festival for U-10 & U-13 kids at Polo Ground here on Tuesday.
“The Aim of the festival is to take football to as many children as possible in Jammu &Kashmir .Aiming at this, JKFA and Soccer Kids organisations focus on football’s core values –sharing, learning, fair play and joy. For this purpose it will reach out to youngsters in all districts associations,” said Festival Chairman, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi.
“This festival offers everyone the chance to play football without discrimination. There are instructions from FIFA to develop the football at grassroots so that in the future India will be a nation with string football teams,” said Director Soccer Kids. & Fifa Instructor Hilal Rasool Parry.
Muhammad Shafi Nari and Zahoor Ahmad Khan are the selectors for this festival who will select players for the upcoming festival at Kalayni and West Bengal.
