Issue LPG on houseboat licenses: HBOA

Srinagar, Oct 30: The houseboat owners Tuesday urged the state government to impress upon oil companies to grant LPG cylinders in their favor on the basis of their houseboat licenses.
 “Our fraternity has suffered heavy losses in the past. Now we appeal Chief Minster Omar Abdullah to use his good offices to impress upon oil companies to provide LPG cylinders to houseboat owners on the basis of licenses which we possess,”  said Muhammad Rafiq Karnai,  Secretary, Houseboat Owners Association (HBOA).
 “The LPG cylinders we own are consumed at our homes and there’s no quota for houseboats while oil companies deny us second connection in the same name,” he added.
