New Delhi converting leaders’ houses into jails: Nayeem Khan

Srinagar: Terming the house arrest of separatist leaders even on Eid day as an act of ‘imperialism’, the Jammu and Kashmir National Front chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan on Tuesday said New Delhi had devised a policy to create distance between pro-freedom leaders and people.
 “New Delhi has converted houses of the leaders into jails,” Khan said while addressing a meeting of NF office-bearers here.
 “Placing leaders under house arrest and preventing them from discharging their religious obligations is direct interference in religious affairs. Such acts are aimed at weakening the movement and to defeat the Kashmiri people, which is not only difficult but also impossible.”
