This refers to the communal tensions between two groups in the Zanskar region. It is heartening to learn about these shameful acts. The minority community is harassed by the majority community. The worst thing is that the authorities show partiality in dealing with this law and order problem in this far off area of Kargil (Ladakh). The voices of these innocent Muslims go unheard in the trouble torn region (Zanskar). A few months back, some erstwhile Buddhist families embraced Islam (the religion of peace) in Zanskar area of Kargil District. The converted individuals reportedly even announced publicly that they have chosen this religion by their own will without any external pressure. There is an urgent need to stop this tension between two these communities otherwise the situation may go out of control.  The government should protect the lives and property of Zanskar Muslims who are part of Muslim majority state of Jammu and Kashmir.
