JKSM condemns arrest of youth

Srinagar: The chairman of Salvation Movement Zaffar Akbar Bhat on Friday strongly condemned the arrest of school going boys and other innocent youth, demanding their immediate release.
“The Youth like Haris Rashid, Sajad Ahmad, Muhammad Imran and Irfan Ahmed of Srinagar were arrested and lodged in jails outside the Valley,” said Zaffar in a statement today.
He asked New Delhi to repeal draconian laws, revoke AFSPA and release all the detainees. Zafar termed as ridiculous the New Delhi’s claim that J&K was an integral part of India.
“People of the state are the final authority to decide their political future. We have never been part of India. Ours was an independent state till 1947 but it is India which with its military power took forcible control of our land,” he said.
