PDP demands shifting of Pathribal trial to Kashmir
GK NEWS NETWORK
Srinagar, Oct 5: Opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Friday urged the government to ask the army to shift the trial of Pathribal fake encounter case to Kashmir valley from Jammu.
The issue was raised by PDP member, Peerzada Mansoor Hussain in the Legislative Assembly soon after the House met for the day Friday. “Everybody knows that Pathribal incident was about cold-blooded murder of innocents. Now army is not just holding the trial in Jammu but sending summons to even dead and elderly people,” he said, adding that a summon was sent to one Qasim Khan, who died eight years ago.
“My request to the government is to build pressure on the army to conduct the trial in Kashmir and summons should be sent through police,” Mansoor said.
