CS for digitization, computerization of land records
Jammu, Aug 31: Reviewing the progress on computerization of land records in Jammu division, Chief Secretary Madhav Lal Friday emphasized the need of developing state’s expertise in IT applications to extend an enhanced public delivery system with added accountability and responsiveness to the people.
“Management and development of land is a vital component in implementation and success of any project so it needs to be tackled with utmost efficiency and expertise,” the CS said.
The meeting was informed that out of 500 villages in the Jammu Division, 143 have been computerized in respect of settlement works. The CS asked for computerizing the remaining villages on fast track basis besides initiating online service in the computerized 143 villages for easy access of revenue records to the general public.
