Mushtaq’s anniversary today

Srinagar, Sep 9: The 17th death anniversary of photojournalist Shaheed Mushtaq Ali will be observed on Monday, September 10.
Mushtaq was killed in a parcel bomb explosion on September 10, 1995 at Press Enclave here, which was later named after him as Mushtaq Enclave.
The day is being commemorated every year, with journalists visiting Martyrs’ Graveyard at Eidgah to offer Fatheaha at Ali’s grave.
Pertinently, senior journalist Yousuf Jameel and Greater Kashmir Photo Editor Habib Naqash were also wounded in the explosion when a parcel bomb delivered at Jameels’ office wet off, but Mushtaq succumbed to his injuries.
