Ishtiyaq bags second slot in curator course

Srinagar, Sep 13: A former Ranji player from Srinagar, Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan has secured second position in maiden Curators Certification Course held at Mohali.
 This was communicated to Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in a letter.
 Ishtiyaq Ahmad Khan was nominated by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Academy for the course. Khan secured 124 marks (63 in theory and 61 in practical) out of 150.
 The course was conducted by a Core Committee consisting of Venkat Sundram, P R Vishwanathan and BCCI chief curator Daljit Singh under M P Pandove chairman NCA and Specialized Academies of the Board.
 The course was attended by the 31 curators from various states. Khan started his cricket career by playing Ranji Trophy in 1973-74. He has also represented the state in various tournaments.
