NRHM Samelan held at Nadihal

Bandipora, Sep 13:  The Medical Department organized National Rural Health Mission Samelan at Panchayat Block Nadihal in Bandipora for awareness generation and implementation of various schemes.
 Chief Medical Officer, Bandipora Bashir Ahmed Malik was the observer on the occasion. The officers from various civil departments, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, FMPHW, Panchs and Sarpanchs and large number of people were present.
 Chief Medical Officer urged the people to avail benefits of various government sponsored schemes through Health Department and ICDS project for the welfare of expecting mothers. He appreciated the working of ASHAs and Anganwadi workers.
 Earlier, the BMO highlighted the achievement of the department.
  “The main aim to organize the Samelan was to create awareness about various NRHM schemes among Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), senior citizens, and to guide health functionaries like ASHAs, FMPHW, ICDS and field staff about their implementations,” said Dr Bashir Ahmed Malik, CMO Bandipora.
