No injustice
This refers to the news item titled “KU’s idea of in (justice): Topper denied gold medal”, (GK 14/9/2012).
The statue Chapter X 10(i) related to the award of gold medals to the
candidate provides that: “Only those candidates who have taken and passed the examination as a whole in the first attempt at the annual examination and secured first class first position shall be entitled for the award of gold medal” Further statue 19-related to illness cases provides that no candidate who passes examination under this statue shall be eligible for a scholarship or prize. Therefore the candidate namely Sabira Ashraf is not eligible for
award of gold medal under statues and question of any injustice does
not arise at all.
