Education department

This refers to a disinformation campaign against Education Department. It has been claimed that 500 teachers in 22 wings are doing clerical jobs, which is a blatant lie.
Because of the vast expansion and new demands Government has by order established three wings Inspection & Monitoring Wing, Cultural Education Wing & Legal Wing. Inspection and Monitoring is a key section meant for academic accountability, grievance disposal, RTI etc. All the work is directly related to academics. Presently only one lecturer and one teacher in each district with six in Directorate are working in the wing. Total number of teachers is only 16. Same is true of cultural Education Wing which performs diverse co-curricular and other activities which are need of the hour in a globalised competitive world. Here again one lecturer and one teacher/master in each district with six in the Directorate are working in the wing. The total number of teachers / masters is again 16. As per the Legal Wing it only works in Directorate with two teachers / masters. There is nothing unusual if a vast Department with more than one lakh teaching community is using a very small number of resource persons for the betterment of education. Other departments also do the same. Government Departments expand their field of work so has the Education Department done.
