Asks People To Recite Darood For 2 Minutes
Srinagar, Sep 19: The chairman of Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Shah Geelani today put forth a novel method of protest against the blasphemous film maker, asking Muslims to recite Darood-i-Sharief for two minutes on Friday from 11 a.m.
Geelani, in a statement today, appealed to the people to put an immediate halt to their work and business for two minutes at 11.00 a.m. on September 21, Friday, and during this time recite Darood-e-Shrief to express their affection and devotion towards the holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). “This will be the befitting answer from Muslims to the impudent Zionist film maker,” he said.
Geelani has also reiterated his appeal to the people to stage protests on September 21, after Friday prayers against conspiracies of anti-Islamic forces and arrest of youth from different areas by the police following massive protests against the production and screening of blasphemous film. He alleged that the police had started carrying out nocturnal raids to arrest youth from different parts of Valley following Tuesday shutdown and protests.
Meanwhile, Geelani has expressed serious concern over the “image of Hazrat Gabriel (AS) given in the NCERT history book for class 6th”.
“Killing six Muslims by the police in Delhi for protesting against the production of blasphemous film on Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and making image of Hazrat Gabriel (AS) in the NCERT history book explicitly proved that both the Jews and the Hindus were nurturing grudge and malice against Islam and Muslims in equal measure. They miss no opportunity to hurt the religious sentiments of the Muslims,” Geelani said.
