HC quashes Info officers list
Srinagar, Sep 20: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court Thursday quashed the selection list of Assistant Information officers which was challenged by the aggrieved candidates in two separate writ petitions in February this year.
Bench of Justice Hasnain Massodi had earlier reserved the judgment on the petitions which was announced by the court today. The court also quashed the notification and has directed the respondents to go for a fresh selection.
The High Court had in February this year stayed the provisional selection list of 29 Assistant Information Officers, and had directed the Services Selection Board (SSB) and Information Department ‘not to act upon the selection list’ till further orders.
