Emancipating women

Modern education for women was a mere dream in Kashmir until the advent of Christian missionaries. Mallinson Girls School was established in AD1912. The school played an important role in the educational and cultural development of Kashmiri women. Today, unlike many parts of South Asia, women's education in Kashmir is progressing on significant scale. It is because of the efforts of the government and  the historical role played by the Miss Mallinson that women in Kashmir are seen in greater number in educational, medical and top administration sector. Today our women are topping All India Competitive Examination.
In Kashmir, beyond any doubt education has been playing a lead role in emancipation of women. It is going to immensely develop our future generations in a healthy and meaningful way.
