SAKINA ANNOUNCES Rs 3 LAKH FOR STADIUM CONSTRUCTION
Khul (Kulgam), Sep 24: Minister for Social Welfare, Sakina Itoo today announced Rs 3 lakh for the construction of Ahmadabad-Khul Stadium out of her CDF fund.
Sakina announced this while witnessing the final T-20 match played between Chatragam Shopian and MCC Khul at Sports Stadium Khul-Ahmadabad.
Sakina Itoo distributed awards and trophies among various teams including winning and Runner up teams.
Addressing players and sport lovers, the Minister said the government is taking every step for developing the sports culture among the budding youth and continue the sports activities in the State. She said in this connection the State government has already spent sufficient amount on the construction of sports infrastructure and stadia in the rural areas and providing necessary required sport facilities and kits to the players, so that the budding youth especially sports enthusiastic youth would be able to prove their mettle in sports field also on State and National level.
The T-20 matches are being played in the District Kulgam since last five months among 84 teams.
