DDC Kulgam inspects dev projects

Kulgam, Sep 25: District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kulgam, Jahangir Mir today visited Qaimoh block to take stock of development projects taken up under various schemes in different sectors.
During his tour, the DDC checked pace of execution and quality parameters of the upcoming infrastructure projects across the block. He also removed bottlenecks on- the- spot that were coming in the way of smooth execution of few development works in consultation with all the stakeholders.
The major projects he inspected included Wanpora Lift Irrigation scheme, Wanpora- Shamsipora bridge, Redwani-Babapora road, Sub-district hospital Qaimoh, Government Higher Secondary School, etc.
Jahangir asked the officers to expedite the execution and ensure timeline completion of the projects. He reminded them about the fast approaching winter, adding the time left needs to be optimally utilized for faster development and efficient utilization of resources. He directed for using quality material for longer durability of the assets created.
Several deputations also called on the Deputy Commissioner during his day long tour, projecting problems regarding road connectivity, drinking water and irrigation. He gave on spot directions to the heads of sectoral officers for redress of their grievances.
