‘LOVE YOU KASHMIR’
SRK Proud To Rephrase His Popular KKKiran Dialogue In Valley’s Praise
M HYDERI
Srinagar, Sep 6: Bollywood’s uncrowned king, Shahrukh Khan is so impressed with the Valley’s breathtaking beauty that before flying back to Mumbai he pledged to be brand ambassador of Kashmir even as he proudly rephrased one of his most popular dialogues saying “I love you KKKashmir.”
“This is one of the main dialogues from my movie Darr where I fumbled on only a word, but the one I loved the most: I Love You KKKiran. Today I rephrase it and dedicate it only to Kashmir: I love You KKKashmir,” King Khan told a crowded press conference at the Grand Lalit on the Dal banks.
BE BRAND AMBASSADOR
“I am the brand ambassador of India and yes of course of Kashmir,” Khan said adding it was the mesmerizing beauty of the Valley that made him tweet again and again during his stay here.
King Khan said he would promote awareness so that “no jingoism or speculative news is aired about Kashmir”.
KASHMIR BEYOND HUMAN PRAISE
SRK said it would be too little to praise the beauty of Kashmir on any front.
“Haath Kangan to Aarsi Kya. Padhay Likhay Ko Farsi Kya. Kashmir Khud Hi Itna Khoobsurat Hai Ki Kuch Kahnay Ki Zaroorat Hi Nahin Rehti,” Shahrukh said in his typically chaste Urdu.
Stating that his upcoming but yet untitled movie, star-casting Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma was extensively filmed in Kashmir, he said: “Hopefully all the visuals will attract people to come to Kashmir. Insha Allah!"
In the same breath, SRK however added that “Kashmir Khud Say Itna Khoobsurat Hai Kay Kahin Par Bhi Camera Lagaa Do to Khoobsurat lagta hai!”
VISIT CHANGED MY LIFE
The superstar said he was “very happy to be in Kashmir adding that the work was done beautifully.”
“A big desire of my life was to come to Kashmir because my grandmother was from the Valley. My father wanted us to come here with me but unfortunately he passed away when I was just 15,” Khan said.
SRK said the visit to Kashmir changed his life “though nowhere else such a thing ever happened with me.”
“Nor I would ever believe in such things. But visit to Kashmir has changed my life,” he said.
Shahrukh said his father had said that he would feel difference from inside on visiting Kashmir adding that after visiting that Valley he exactly had the same feeling.
“My life has changed after coming to Kashmir. Genuinely I am feeling happy from the core of my heart. Love is in the air everywhere I look around,” the superstar who was flanked by prominent Valley-based businessman and owner of Shiraz travels Nazir Ahmed Bakshi, said.
SRK however clarified that he had no relatives putting up anywhere in Kashmir.
“Only my grandmother was from Kashmir but name of that place I don’t exactly remember,” he said.
THANKFUL TO ALL
King Khan said he was “extremely grateful to everyone who allowed us to be here and make our work finish.”
LOVES GUSHTABA, BAKSHI’S DESERT
About Kashmiri delicacies, SRK said he loved Gushtaba, and Anjeer Ka Halwa, a rare delicacy which the Bakshi’s had prepared for him at dinner last evening at their residence in honor to the celebrity.
BADAY BADAY SHEHROUN MEIN
To a question if he had annoyed any Mantri or Babu by not meeting them in Kashmir, Shahrukh said he wasn’t sure if any such thing happened.
“We don’t recognize everyone by face. But I will say it with humility that if we didn’t meet anyone because of our work they shouldn’t feel bad of it,” he said.
And then he added his enigma to it with a remix of dialogue from DDLJ: “Agar Kisse ko humsay koi gilla Shikwa hai tou Please Bura mat mainye ga. Kashmir Jaisay Baday Baday Shehron Mein Aise Chooti Chooti Batien Hoti Rehti Hien.”
Filmmaker thanks all
Veteran filmmaker Yash Raj Chopra hailed the government and the people for the arrangements.
Meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan and his colleagues including actress Anushka Sharma are understood to have complimented hospitality of the Lalit Grand Palace at Srinagar. Khan with other members of the crew spent the night there.
