In view of the gravity of the case the Union Health Ministry is separately investigating the case through Central Drug Standard Control Organization.

The maternity care hospital Lalla Ded was also supplied the spurious drug and accordingly 2119 tablets stocked were seized from there, stated the complaint.
In the past few weeks reports coming to fore showed that several drugs including injectbales, rolled bandages and even cotton supplied to the hospitals did not confirm to the prescribed standards.
The complainant told the court that during the course of investigation it was found that Akhil Gadoo, Amardeep Raina, Ashok Kumar Raina (C/O Proprietors of M/S Life Line Pharmaco- Surgicals) had conspired in connivance with others and got the spurious drug manufactured, marketed and distributed.
