No curfew today: DGP

Srinagar, Feb 15: Declaring that there will be no curfew on Saturday, Director General Police, Ashok Prasad Friday said that overall situation in the Valley is under control. “Baring sporadic incidents, situation is the valley remained peaceful and we have decided not to impose curfew or restrictions on Saturday,” DGP said.
The Police Chief said that during today’s clashes one policeman got injured in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
“In view of the two-day strike call by Hurriyat Conference (G), there would be deployment of forces mostly in towns of the valley to foil any untoward incident,” Prasad told Greater Kashmir, adding that situation was heading towards normal.
