Demanding bribe
This refers to the central government sponsored National Saffron Mission. Under this programe at least 50 beneficiaries were taken from village Showpora Chadoora Budgam. One kanal of land for rejuvenation of saffron saplings per beneficiary was sanctioned. But the employees deployed for the supervision of this scheme for our village received Rs.2000 from each beneficiary during the whole process of rejuvenation. When the first installment of Rs.8500 is being released for each person, some employees are demanding Rs.600 from each beneficiary for releasing the said amount in their favour. Imagine what it means for these poor employees who are taking thousands of rupees per month as salaries. The Agriculture minister and Director Agriculture may intervene.
