Jammu aspirants welcome uniform cut-off for J&K Bank PO mains

Aspirants for the posts of probationary officers (POs) in Jammu and Kashmir Bank have welcomed the bank’s decision to have uniform cut-off of 40 marks in preliminary examination across the state for becoming eligible for the mains.

Thanking Governor Satya Pal Malik and Chairman J&K BankParvez Ahmed, the aspirants said that from last three days they were on roadsover “illogical result” of PO preliminary examination.

   

“It is due to intervention of the governor and the chairmanthat bank rolled back discriminatory decision and addressed the grievances ofaspirants,” said one of the aspirants.

Students also thanked civil society groups, politiciansincluding Shah Faesal, former minister Sham Lal Sharma, PriyaSethi, Congresscandidate for Udhampur-Doda seat Vikramaditya Singh for voicing their concern.

Chairman of J&K Bank Monday through his Twitter handleannounced the uniform cut-off of 40 marks for all the aspirants for appearingin mains exams, which is scheduled for June this year.

“In view of the various representations received fromcandidates & also the directions from the Hon’ble Governor, Bank hasdecided to declare a uniform cut off of 40 across the state in relaxation ofpolicy,” Parvex Ahmed wrote on his Twitter.

He further said: “All those candidates having assessmentscore of 40 and above shall be eligible to write the mains.”
