Amira Kadal residents for reopening of post office
SYED IMRAN ALI HAMDANI
Srinagar, Feb 2: Inhabitants of various areas of Amira Kadal including Kukar Bazar, Beru Ghat, Budshah Chowk and Kawji Mohalla have appealed the Chief Post Master General, J&K Circle Srinagar to reopen post office in the area.
A delegation from these areas under the banner of Masjid Jamia Amir-i-Hamza led by Mushtaq Ahmad Janbaz said nearly two decades ago Amira Kadal Post Office was functioning smoothly
“However, during the turmoil this post office was closed. Later the post office was shifted to Lal Chowk causing immense inconvenience to us,” they said.
They appealed the Chief Post Master General John Samuel to look into the matter.
“We hope that the post office would be reopened at its original place at the earliest,” they added.
