Omar reviews restoration of Poonch transmission line
Jammu, Feb 2: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today reviewed the status of restoration of Poonch power transmission line at a high level meeting of PDD officers here.
The transmission line has been severely damaged by the recent heavy snowfall in the area. Various towers have got completely uprooted whileas many have been broken by the snow storm.
Receiving detailed brief on the restoration work, the Chief Minister asked the PDD department to put in added efforts so that the transmission line is restored within the shortest possible time.
The meeting was attended by the Principal Secretary Power Development Department, Development Commissioner Power, various Chief Engineers and other officers.
