Chanapora cable subscribers decry poor service
Opting for DTH service
Srinagar, Feb 3: The cable subscribers of Chanapora have lambasted the local cable operator for extremely poor service in the area. Fed up with the unsatisfactory service, the subscribers said they are going for mass conversion to DTH service.
A delegation of subscribers from Chanapora said the quality of cable TV is extremely poor in the area and the local operator was informed about the issue time and again. But the operator, Friends Cable Network, has failed to correct the fault.
“Our service is almost down for the past one month. I have been calling the cable operator for the past one week but they pass the buck from one person to another, with no result on ground. On Sunday, I called about six times and every time they assured me that they would send the technician and things will be set right, but nobody came,” said a subscriber of Housing Colony Chanapora.
The delegation of residents said they have decided to opt for DTH service en mass if the service does not improve within two days.
“The operator regularly collects fee every month in advance, Rs 200 per month which is highest in the entire city, but we all have decided not to give him the fee this month for poor service during the last month,” they said.
