JK starts campaign on wining note
Srinagar, Feb 3: J&K started its Santosh Trophy, 67th National Football Championship campaign on winning note by beating Rajasthan in a one sided match by 3-1 at Varanasi on Saturday.
It all started in 5th minute of first half when mid-fielder Rizwan Sheikh gave JK 1-0 lead.
Rajasthan responded immediately and levelled the score in the 18th minute of first half. JK doubled lead in the 40th minute through Yaseen’s goal. At half time JK was leading by 2-1.J&K delivered a decisive blow to the Rajasthan in the 72nd minute of second half when Zubair scored third goal for his team.
JK will play their second match against Assam on Monday with its last encounter on February 6 against Andaman and Nicobar.
