Leopard creates panic in Kreeri
PEERZADA AARIF
Kreeri (Baramulla), Feb 3: Panic has gripped this north Kashmir area following a killing of a 10-year old child by a leopard.
Residents of Wagoora, Daulatpora, Watergam, Mangam, Mirpora Kachwa Muqam, Wahidna, Shirpora, Muran, Thindma Tangwari, Dodhbugh, Sultan Pora, Nagbal, Darad Hajin, Nilsar, Danmoha and the adjoining areas told Greater Kashmir that they are living under constant threat of wild animals. “Due to heavy snowfall in the nearby forests these wild animals keep wandering in the residential areas,” they said. “Parents don’t allow their children to move out of the homes after the dusk and the elders offer evening prayers in their respective residences.”
