Ice-skating camp concludes at Gulmarg
Srinagar, Feb 5: The second Ice skating training camp organised by organized by J&K Tourism Department in collaboration with Ice Skating Association of J&K and GDA concluded at Ice Rink, Gulmarg on Tuesday.
In the camp around 30 students from various schools of the valley were imparted training
In the camp for the first time 20 students from Srinagar District were trained. It was second such camp held in Gulmarg during this winter season.
The camp was sponsored by Director Heevan Retreat Gulmarg Iqbal Burza. At the concluding function Kris Waerin was chief guest.
On the occasion different competitions were held among the trainees. In 1000 metre race, M. Moein Dijoo, Sahil Ahmad Lone and Mudasir finished first, second and third respectively while as in Sub-Junior category, 300 metre, Turab Iqbal, Absar Alumand Raja Monis Altaf bagged first three positions respectively.
In sub-junior category-2, Sairab Iqbal, Musaib Bhar and Junaid Ashraf bagged first three places respectively.
In junior category, 500 metre-A, M Salman, Sharjeel and Moein Nazir Bhar bagged first, second and third places respectively while as in Junior category-B, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, Atif Pndith and Abid Majeed Dar finished, first, second and third respectively.
In senior category, 1000 metre, M Moein Dijoo, Mudasir and Sahil Ahmad Lone finished first, second and third respectively while as in senior category-B, Noman, Mehraj-u-din and Arshid bagged first three positions respectively.
In girls competition of 300 metre, Muskaan Talet, Shereen and Sarra bagged first, second and third positions respectively.
