Dr Qasba assures to resolve demands of municipal employees
Srinagar, Feb 7: Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) Dr GN Qasba on Thursday assured the municipal employees to resolve their genuine grievances at the earliest.
Chairing a meeting with the Coordination Committee of SMC’s Municipal Employees Workers Union of the Corporation, Dr Qasba hailed the role of municipal employees including sweeper community in keeping the city clean.
In a statement, SMC’s Media Officer said on the occasion Dr Qasba said bonus shall be given to both regularized and consolidated sweepers who would engage and participate in Sunday cleaning of the city.
The statement said the president Municipal Employees Union Chaudry Mehraj-u-din Bujha on behalf of workers union put forth their grievances and various issues related to the DPC and regularization of the consolidated workers.
“The president Municipal Employees Union expressed gratitude to Dr Qasba for giving patient hearing to their long pending issues and assuring them to resolve them at its earliest,” the statement added.
