R-Day arrangements reviewed in Srinagar
Srinagar, Dec 31: District Development Commissioner Srinagar, Baseer Ahmad Khan on Monday reviewed arrangements for R-Day celebrations in Srinagar.
The DDC convened a meeting of officers of Education, State Road Transport Corporation, Power Development Department, Public Health Engineering, Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Roads and Buildings, Fire and Emergency Services, Health, Police, Hospitality and Protocol and other concerned departments here today.
During the meeting various committees comprising different officers were constituted for the smooth conduct of the programme.
Besides this arrangements regarding security, seating arrangements, power supply, drinking water, sanitation, transport, traffic regulations and medicare were also discussed in the meeting. All the officers were directed to ensure their full participation in the function.
It was also decided that the programme will start with Shahnai Wadan after which contingents of JKAP, Police, IRP, CRPF, NCC and school children will present march past.
