CS, Div Com review R-Day arrangements

Jammu/Srinagar Jan 11: Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal on Friday reviewed the overall security situation in view of the forthcoming R-Day celebrations in the state, an official spokesman said.
The Chief Secretary while chairing a high level meet in Jammu took detailed stock of various security related measures taken to conduct the event peacefully.
He also received a briefing about the arrangements being put in place in the state to celebrate the day besides details of participation of several police, paramilitary and educational institutions etc in various events to be held on R-Day.
The meeting was attended by ADGP Law and Order K Rajendra, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B B Vyas, Principal Secretary, Home, Suresh Kumar, IGP CID B Srinivasan and other officers.
Meanwhile, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon took stock of the arrangements being made for celebration of R-Day at different district headquarters of Kashmir Valley through Video Conferencing which include Leh & Kargil districts of Ladakh region.
Dr Samoon reviewed the pace of progress of various mega development projects and welfare schemes under execution in various districts of the Valley.
