‘Every killing not militancy related’

Bijbehara, Jan 12: The Inspector General of paramilitary CRPF S S Sandhu on Saturday said that killing of a Sarpanch at Sopore and a labourer in Pulwama can be normal criminal cases. “Every incident cannot be necessarily militancy related and at times it can be a criminal act too. The recent incidents wherein a Panchayat representative and a civilian were killed by gunmen in Sopore and Pulwama may have personal animosity as the reason,” he said.
 The IG was however, quick to add that the militancy angle into the incidents cannot be ruled out.
