8 injured in highway mishaps
Ramban, Jan 12: At least eight persons were injured in two separate road mishaps on Jammu- Srinagar Highway at Chanderkot and Magarkot on Saturday.
As per reports a Tavera (JK01N-6961) on its way to Srinagar collided head-on with a load carrier (JK02AK- 2469) coming from opposite direction at Chanderkot near Makhan Dhaba resulting injuries to the four persons.
The injured persons have been identified as Imtiyaz S/o Abdul Gaffar R/o Koil Pulwama, Arshad Ahmed S/o Basheeer Ahmed R/o Pulwama, Sajad Ahmed S/o Abdul Ahad R/o Machu Badgam and Muhammad Amin Matto S/o Gulam Nabi Matto R/o Safakadal, Srinagar.
All the injured persons shifted by Chanderkot Police to District Hospital Ramban where from doctors referred them to Government Medical Collage and Hospital Jammu.
In another accident at Magarkrot, a Santro car (JK02AJ-2113) on way from Ramban to Banihal collided with another vehicle (1695-JK03B) leaving four persons wounded.
They were identified as Babar Wani S/o Muhammed Ayob Wani R/o Ramban, Anayatullah Wani S/o Ghulam Rasool R/o Ramban, Abdul Majid S/o Abdul Aziz R/o Ramsu and Amir S/o Muhammad Rafiq R/o Doligam, Banihal.
