One-way traffic on highway
Srinagar, Jan 12: Srinagar-Jammu highway will remain open for one-way traffic on Sunday subject to fair weather conditions, an official spokesman said. The highway was closed for some time on Saturday following fresh snowfall.
“Subject to fair weather conditions all vehicles including private LMVs, commercial LMVs, LCVs, medium passenger vehicles as well as commercial vehicles, buses, heavy commercial vehicles would be allowed to travel from Jammu side towards Kashmir,” an official handout said.
It said, however, all vehicles have to cross TCP Nagrota by 1.00 pm, Udhampur by 2.30 pm and TCP Banihal by 10.00 pm beyond which no vehicle shall be allowed to proceed towards Kashmir for onward journey.
Spokesman said that road link which connects Jammu and Srinagar was closed for sometime on Saturday morning, however traffic was allowed to play from Srinagar to Jammu after snow was cleared from the highway.
