Asha workers in Khansahib demand uniform

Budgam, Jan 13: Asha workers in block Khansahib have urged health minister Sham Lal Sharma to direct the health department to provide the sanctioned uniform and the requisite amount for tailoring purpose.
“We are the backbone of NRHM system in the districts and have been ignored by authorities in the block Khansahib as we have not been provided uniform and the requisite amount for its tailoring,” said a delegation of Asha workers from block Khansahib.
Urging the authorities to enhance the amount for purchase and tailoring purpose, they said: “How can Rs 750 be suffice to purchase the cloth and then tailor it also. Where in state can we purchase lady dress for Rs 750 and stitch it also for the same amount.”
