JK Bank training institute holds skill dev programs

Srinagar, Jan 13: J&K Bank RSETI Kupwara conducted a 10-day skill development programme on ‘knitting’, in which three Self Help Groups (SHG) comprising 30 trainees from Punzava and Radnaag, were imparted training.
The trainees were identified and sponsored by DRDA, Kupwara, the bank in a statement said.
Cluster Head, Kupwara inaugurated the programme in presence of DRDA officials, bank executives and others.
Speaking on the occasion, he impressed upon the trainees to learn the skills seriously and try to be successful entrepreneurs and provide employment to others besides engaging themselves in profitable business.
This will enable you to supplement the income of your families and motivate others to go for self employment rather than wage employment, he added.
Director Institute said, “It will be our endeavour to make you aware about maintaining of group records while dealing with banks, marketing of products and about ways to boost your confidence and self-esteem.”
The function concluded with vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, RSETI Pulwama concluded a 10-day skill development programme for women in Crewel Embroidery.
Speaking at the valedictory function, Director RSETI urged the participants to take the course seriously and employ the skills learned for securing better livelihood in future.
He assured them of total support and guidance in credit and trade related issues.
He also thanked the Additional DDC and Project Officer DRDA Pulwama for their help and support. Certificates of Participation were distributed among the trainees on the occasion.
