JKLF prog: 55 persons court arrest on concluding day

Srinagar, Jan 13: The Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front’s ‘Jail Bharo Programme’ concluded here on Sunday. About 50 persons—including Front leaders, relatives of incarcerated Kashmiris and relatives of martyrs—courted arrest today at Abi Guzar here.
 The campaign was led by senior JKLF leader, Noor Muhammad Kalwal. “Jail Bharo Tehreek (movement) is a programme aimed to expressed solidarity with our brothers in different jails in and outside the state,” he said. “It is also aimed to protest life sentences awarded to Kashmiri prisoners.”
 A Front spokesman said the arrestees included Kalwal, Sheikh Khalid Mubarak, Moulvi M Yaqoob Rabbani, Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya); District president Ganderbal Syed Nisar Ahmad Jeelani; district president Bandipora Showkat Ahmad Dar; Mushtaq Ahmad Gabroo, Abdul Rashid Ganai, Gulzar Ahmad Bhat (Gayasdin), Mushtaq A Wani, M Amin Mir, M Yousuf Bhat, Mehra Ud Din Najar, Nazir A. Mir, Reyaz A Dar, Fayaz A Mir, Abdul Ahad Bhat, Muhammad Amin Parray, Nisar Ahmad Parray, Ayash Ahmad Ganai. Shakil A Sofi, Bashir A Bhat, Mushtaq A Rather, M Lateef Wani, Abdur Rashid Bhat, Abdul Ahad Margay, Farooq A Parray, M Maqbool Bhat, Nazir Ahmad Khan, Gh. Mohi ud Din Wani, Manzoor A Sheikh, M Ayoub, M Ramzan Sofi, Shuaib M Lone, Mushtaq A Wani, Zahoor A Parray, Abdul. Ahad Wani, Irshad Ahmed Dar, Ishfaq Ahmed Dar, Hafiz Abdul Ahad Khan, M Amin Bhat, Hafizullah Ganai, Sameer Ahmad Mir and others.
 Besides, wife, sister and sister-in-law of jailed Nazir Ahmad Sheikh and mother, wife and daughter of jailed Showkat Ahmad Khan, father and mother of jailed Javed Ah Khan, Shabir Ahmad Paul, brother of M Ishaq Paul, M. Yousuf Gilkar of Mahaz-I-Azadi, M Farooq Nawaz and many others presented themselves for symbolic court arrest on the occasion.
 Earlier, among others, the JKLF Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, vice chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Front (H) Chairman Front (H), Javed Ahmed Mir, Chairman Muslim Conference, Shabir Ahmad Dar and other Front leaders courted arrest. They are lodged in different jails in the Valley.
 Others who are under detention include Shaukat Ahmad Bakshi, Javed Ahmed Zargar, Muhammad Yasin Bhat, Mushtaq Ajmal, Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan (pupah Sahib), Sheikh Muhammad Aslam (President District Srinagar), Muhammad Ishaq Ganai (President Islamabad), Abdul Sattar (president Kulgam), Ghulam Qadir Hyder, Muhammad Afzal Sheikh, Ghulam  Muhammad Dar, Muhammad Hanif Dar, Ghulam Rasool Hazari, Muhammad Younis Butt, Zahoor Ahmed Khan, Ashfaq Hussain, Imtiyaz Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Ibrahim Bhat , Muhammad Abdullah Natu, Basharat Ahmad Bhat, Ghulam Hussain Sufi, Fayaz Ahmad Lone, Habibullah Dar, Tariq Ahmad Bhat, Shabir Ahmad Hajam, Shahid Mackayee, Imtiyaz Ahmad Ganaie, Nazir Ahmad Rather, Faisal Aslam Mir, Javed Ahmad Malik, Nazir Ahmed Khan, Irshad Ahmed Dar, Bashir Ahmad Wagay, Muhammad Ishaq Malik, Maqsood Ahmed Nangru, Asadullah Shaikh, Ghulam Hassan Rather, Muhammad Yaseen Lone, Muhammad Iqbal Wani, Bashir Ahmad Rather, Riyaz Ahmad Dar, Abdul Hamid Ganai and Gh Ahmad Ganaie.
 SM Afzal, Rafiq Ahmad War (district president Kupwara), Abdul Rashid Magloo (district president Baramulla), Front leaders Muhammad Sidiq Shah, Professor Javed, Ishtiaq Ahmed brother of Shaheed Zahoor Ahmad Ganai , Muhammad Azeem Zargar, Abdul Qayoom Sheikh, Mushtaq Ahmed Changah, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Muhammad Maqbool Ganaie, Bashir Ahmad Lone, Ghulam Muhammad Malla, Farooq Ahmad Ganaie, Ghulam Nabi Mir, Ghulam Muhammad Wani, Muhammad Maqbool Lone, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir, Abdul Majid Shah, Abdul Rahman Gojri, Abdul Aziz Lone are lodged in Mattan Jail at Anantnag. Mir Siraj Ud Din, Javed Ahmad Bhat (President JKLF Pulwama),Gulzar Ahmad Pahalwan (JKLF President Budgam), Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, Muhammad Ayoub Naikoo, Muhammad Ramzan Sofi, Hafiz Ghulam Hassan, Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, Khizar Muhammad Wani, Ghulam Hassan Mir, Ghulam Nabi Malik, Aaqib Ahmad Dar, Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, Muhammad Rafiq Mir, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Muhammad Yasin Khan, Ali Muhammad Mir, Bilal Ahmad Dar, Abdul Hamid Malik, Muhammad Maqbool Dar, Nazir Ahmad Hajam, Abdul Majid Tantray, Abdul Rehman Dar, Ghulam Muhammad Kondoo, Farooq Ahmad Beigh and Ishfaq Ahmad Kondoo are lodged in sub jail Kupwara and sub jail Baramullah.
