‘Teargas shell’ lobbed at EJAC Vice-President’s house
Watapora (Bandipora), Jan 14: Fear gripped Watapora area of this north Kashmir district after a ‘teargas shell’ was lobbed at the house of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) Vice-President for the district on Monday.
The EJAC and other employees from the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department here staged protest, demanding the probe into the incident. This is second incident of its kind in the town. Earlier a blast took place in the house of a Sarpanch from Ongam village, Ali Muhammad.
All offices and stores of the CA&PD were closed in the district on Monday as a mark of protest against the incident.
The teargas shell was lobbed at the house of Bashir Ahmed Malik when only female members of the family were present there.
