Jammu, Jan 15: The Annual Action Plan for the current year under Swarnajayanti Gram Swarojgar Yojana (SGSY) and District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Administration was approved to the tune of Rs. 131.76 lakh and Rs.155.36 lakh respectively during a Governing Body Meeting of the Agency which met under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, P. K. Pole, here today. Stressing the need for greater awareness of SGSY among the people especially those living in remote areas, the DDC instructed the officers of DRDA to organize five awareness camps in each block of the district during the current year so that deserving beneficiaries could be accommodated for their economic upliftment, an official statement said. He said a compendium of departmental programmer for self employment be supplied to each Panchayat through Block Development Officers so that correct information is available with all the PRIs about the schemes and functioning of different departments in the district.
